Meet Daxxify™
Daxxify™ is a new-to-the-market injectable made up of daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm that is used to treat wrinkles. Similar to Botox™ and Dysport™, Daxxify™ works by temporarily blocking the neurotransmitter that causes muscle movements. In other words, it temporarily relaxes the muscles which may cause wrinkles.
Daxxify™ is FDA-approved to improve the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines, such as frown lines or “11” lines between the forehead.
It is also used off-label to treat a number of other concern areas including:
- Forehead furrows
- Crow’s feet (lines around the eyes)
- Bunny lines (lines around the nose)
- Platysmal bands on the neck
- Dimpling of the chin
Also similar to Botox™, it may be injected into the masseter muscles of the jaw area to reduce clenching and grinding caused by Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ).
